“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

As a lot of people from my generation, I grew up with the idea that I could change the world… well after 30 years it dawned on me that “YOU must be the change you want to see in the world” (as Gandhi said). You need to change yourself, what you think and what you do, in order for the world around you to change. Not only the change within us will make us see things in a different way but it will also make us take action.

A few months ago I was terrified of the idea of turning 30. I felt like I had done nothing right, that I was stuck in a life that didn’t belong to me and that there was nothing I could do to change it, but lately my vision has changed and I am starting to like the person that I am becoming. That’s just one of the few reasons why I decided to start this blog. Another reason is that I don’t want my son to grow up with a consumerist mentality where everything is disposable. I thought it would be a big step for me to share what I am learning on this “green” journey. I hope you enjoy it 🙂
